The Congressional Award Gold Medal Recipient

The United States Congress gives only two awards: The Congressional Medal of Honor (Military) and the Congressional Award (Civilian). Two of the four areas required for earning The Congressional Award are volunteering in the community (minimum 400hrs) and a 4-day expedition. I exceeded the minimums in all areas.

Taught Ballroom Dance & Etiquette

323 hrs. More than 240 Students, Ages 12-18

Taught Tae Kwon Do 354 hours

More than 200 Students, Ages 3-Adult

Expedition

Fully Planned and Executed a five day canoeing and camping adventure in Boundary Waters Canoe Area for four Men including Supplies and Route-Ely, Wy

Additional Awards:
Congressional Award Gold Medal recipient (2017)-(988 hours-Volunteer Public Service, Personal Development, Fitness, and Expedition), Louisiana Volunteer Service Award (+300 hours), President's Volunteer Service Award (+300 hours); Chancellor’s Honor Roll (2014-2015), Earned seven scholarships including: National Merit Scholar, Elks Most Valuable Student.  Member of five honor societies including: Gamma Beta Phi National Honor Society, Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society, National Society of Collegiate Scholars.
